Getting to Helena
Helena Regional Airport (airport code HLN) provides daily service in and out of Helena.  Ground transportation is available via hotel shuttle service, taxi and car rentals.

Note for cost-conscious travelers: Due to Montana's limited resources, flight and car rental prices are generally much higher when booking less than one month from your travel date.  Based on our experiences, we recommend you begin pricing flights 2-3 months out and book your ticket no later than 4-6 weeks out.  Most car rental agencies allow you to modify or cancel your reservations with no penalty if you reserve directly through their sites, so we recommend reserving your car 2+ months out and then modifying your reservation if necessary once your flight is booked.

For those choosing to drive, Helena is located in southwest Montana along I-15.  It is approximately 500 highway miles from both Salt Lake City and Boise, 600 miles from Seattle, and 800 miles from Denver.
